As CEO of Metro North Hospital and Health Service, Australia's largest HHS, he oversaw the design, implementation and embedding of a sustainable platform based on complex system dynamics, which now sees Metro North as one of the best performing health services in the country with staffing of c15,000 people and a budget of AUS$3.3 billion.
As CEO at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH), he led the turnaround from 'special measures' and the implementation of the Epic EHR, until very recently, the largest single IT implementation project in the history of the NHS.

CUH was named as one of the top 50 digital hospitals in the world (the first outside the US to receive that accolade) and is the first hospital in the UK to achieve HIMSS stage 7 accreditation for excellence in digital healthcare.
Most recently, and again across the 2 countries, Keith moved into the clinical information space, working on the strategic and operational delivery of effective information management solutions to complement and aid the healthcare transformation initiative that is so critical to the sustainability of healthcare delivery into the 21st century.
At the UK NHS, he was Chair of the National Information Board, SRO for the £4.8 billion “Personalized Health & Care 2020” IT program and oversaw the development of the informatics blueprints for the 100,000 Genome Project and the Industrial Life Sciences Initiative.

In Queensland, as CCIO, he established a clinically focused integrated electronic medical record program and developed firm clinical and consumer engagement and leadership of the strategic direction of all digital transformation efforts.
